Hello BP I am very passionate about real estate and cant wait to get my foot in the door. My only problem is that I dont have enough funds im on 20 years old with about 3500-4000 dollars to my name. Im in the Rochester, NY area and wondering does anyone have any advice or connections for me where I can get some money to start up with or even partner up to get my feet wet??

My dad has been doing construction for over 20 years and knows alot about it and where to get materials cheap and has been teaching me plenty which will help me in the long run.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Find a local REIA you can attend and network with people. That pile of cash you've got can go a long way when taking experienced investors out to lunch/dinner/coffee. And make sure with these investors you offer to provide help (paid or unpaid) because you are eager to learn. If you've got some construction back round you can probably get into helping a rehabber do some work. You could also connect with smaller time land lords and get in to offer and help do their maintenance of the building. You could also get a job as a lease expert with a larger apartment complex.

Overall, my biggest words of advice are to do something daily. Whether it be making offers, collecting leads, deciding on postcards, taking investors out to lunch, or researching your niche you should be doing something related to real estate daily. It will keep you engaged and involved.
