Investing in South Florida

Hi there, I'm thinking about investing in South Florida, been looking at listings in Oakland Park where I can get a 3/2 or a 2/2 for less than $190,000 with 5% down.

Wondering, does this sound like a good place to invest?  Any idea if I will be able to rent it out short term on Airbnb for profit?  I know Airbnb and vrbo well, just don't know this particular market.

Oakland Park is probably not the place you will get much traffic from on Air BnB only because it isn't close to vacation spots unless the property you find is East of I-95 (closer to the beach). But it is a good place to rent out to long term tenants because it is close to the Ft. Lauderdale area and as you may know that city is growing super fast. South Florida is a great place to invest but it can be random at times as far as good/bad areas and pricing. South Broward is also great to invest in Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Davie, Plantation, some parts of Hollywood and so on.
