Hi Rich

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if it is wise to buy lists?  then my answer is yes, if you buy a targeted list and have a good direct mail campaign to back it up.  I use two differrant list companies.  The trick is to call customer service and ask a human for the exact list that you want.

Also consider talking to your county and see if you can get the data for free.  I live in Pittsburgh and Allegheny county will give you a data disk for $60 or so that has every bit of relevant data that the county tracks.  I also get free lists from agents, who send me expired listings in my target area.

The lists that I am willing to buy are pre- notice of default, out of town owners, etc.  Target your list and make yourself a pile of money

to your success

Josh
