Feeling a tad overwhelmed right now...
I work in the property management industry. Two of my friends also do and we want to begin investing and holding real estate. They already own two homes and rent one out about an hour from where we will be investing. All 3 of us know how to fix/rehab houses as we do it everyday at work. I'm going to be the business end of this whole thing and am feeling a little overwhelmed right now with the 1031's and 203k etc.
So I'm wondering if there are any good books or articles that go over a lot of these detailed issues? Like capital gains tax when you sell a house. When and how to use a 1031. How long you have to live in a house when buying with a FHA 203k. How to transfer ownership to an LLC. And on and on. I know all this stuff is online and I've been digging in as much as I can but it's so scattered. Would like to find one resource for loans, taxes, business, etc. Something that really gets into the details as much as possible.
Any thoughts?
