Found a good lead, now what?
Me and my wife drive around frequently looking for the next property. Yesterday we found what we believe is a hidden gem. Its been vacant for at least 1.5 years and looks like it. Small 1100sq foot 4/1 home that needs full rehab. We talked to the neighbors, they didn't really know anything useful. We pulled the city records and found the owners. An elderly couple on a farm not too far from here. Should I call or send a letter in the mail? I've never done this strategy before and don't want to screw the deal up. Any suggestions? thanks

Keep in mind who you are doing business with (or trying). That generation did business face to face on a handshake - THEN paperwork. Go knock the door, talk to them, inquire about the property - don't be pushy. It may be easier than you think.
