Remote Flipping in Southern Californisa

I'm a newbie getting ready to do some fix and flips and wondering if there is anyone out there doing the same remotely in Southern California.  I would be interested in hearing from someone (the good, bad and the ugly) who has worked with good rehab/construction crew and other key players and what it took to put it together.  I'm researching to see first, if it is possible for me and second, what is required to make it work well.  I am originally from So Cal but am currently living in Haiti.  I have bought turn-key properties in Memphis and Atlanta.  I will be moving back to the LA area later this year.
