Getting paid to be a real estate investor trainee

So... a few of things about me. First, my dream is be a real estate investor. Specifically, I want to landlord, but I am open to learning more about all the various forms of real estate investing. Second, I am in a really difficult financial situation at the moment. My husband and I both have bad credit and not enough income to cover current debts due to a series of circumstances with both our jobs... layoffs, medical issues which caused job loss, etc. We have a long road ahead of us to be able to begin investing.

I was looking online for jobs because I desperately need a second job. I usually don't look on Craigslist because I know there are a lot of scams and misleading postings on there. I found a job posting on Craigslist which says you can earn money while learning to become a real estate investor. Most of it doesn't sound too good to be true, but it does have the cheesy, infomercial-style photos of a guy with his car that has "Make $20000 a month with me" on the back, and people celebrating on the beach. haha

I wanted to see what your thoughts are on this. I figure it's worth replying to, to at least get more information. What could I lose at this point?

If any of you have participated in anything like this, please let me know your experience/advice.
