Beginner attending networking event

Hi, I'm an 18 year old looking to learn the ropes of real estate investing. Waxing lyrical here but this website/ community is such a godsend.

I'm attending a networking event in London tonight and was wondering how exactly I should put myself across as a complete beginner, what sort of questions should I ask as well as how I'd go about following up acquaintances to strengthen that connection.

Many thanks

Eddie
