Line Item Bids
hi everybody -
I have been lurking for a while but this is a first post, so thank for reading!
I have a house which I intend to flip, already have purchased it. My question is this - do you get line item by line item bids? I have had two contractors come through and they both seem rather vague. $2,500 for the bathroom, $6,000 for the kitchen etc. I would really rather much much more detail, like down to the counter will cost X and the pendant light will cost Y. Is this too much to expect? I want to know this so that A: I get better at estimating cost on the fly and B: So that I can make informed decisions as to what improvements I do and do not want to pursue.
Thanks again!!
