Renting my primary residence

Hello BP people. I am currently renting out half of my home. In a few months I will move out and the whole house will become a rental.I have a few questions.  1.In the mean time does anyone know how I will be taxed on this income currently because it is my primary.  2.Also can I write off expenses on this oo/rental.  3.What kind of issues will I run into when buying my next oo. My income is not great so I really need a lender to consider rent on the first property. Thanks
