Places to invest in Indianapolis & connect

Posted

Hey there,

I am looking to start acquiring rental properties in Indianapolis and wanted some feedback on where I should/shouldn't be looking and any other advice that might be useful. Also looking to connect with local RE Agents, property managers, lenders, etc. I am looking at single family homes that I can get for around 80K, rehab and then rent out. I am just starting out so my goal is long term wealth building through appreciation and cash flow. ROI is important but I also want to avoid unnecessary headaches so looking for at least a B-/C+ area. The 46218 zip code, specifically Martindale-Brightwood and then Near Southeast were a couple places that caught my eye as more affordable with good cash flow opportunity while still being B- neighborhoods. Looking for others opinions on these places or other areas that match this criteria. Thanks!

Look up David Lecko, the founder of DealMachine, on social. He invests primarily in and around Indianapolis, although he moved to Austin. DealMachine has a lot of employees in Indy who also invest there.
