I am excited to have my first tenant.  We have a short term lease agreement for 6 weeks.  The tenant and I have agreed to extend the stay another 2 weeks.  Do I need to create a new lease or is there another way to do this?  thank you very much #learning

Write a simple sentence extending the lease, have all parties sign, give them a copy. It's that easy.

"Landlord and tenant agree to extend the lease with a new termination date of [DATE]."
