I am excited to have my first tenant.  We have a short term lease agreement for 6 weeks.  The tenant and I have agreed to extend the stay another 2 weeks.  Do I need to create a new lease or is there another way to do this?  thank you very much #learning

New investor looking for a good local CPA with experience in investments in Boston/Cape Cod MA area.  Thanks!

Hi Bill, there are many CPA's on this platform you can choose from. You don't necessarily have to pick someone in your local area. There are plenty of great remote CPAs. We do remote service in all 50 states. We would love to connect if you're interested.

 Thank you Ahad.

Most accountants who service the north east / tri-state area will be familiar with MA state taxation.

I saw a recent post that you started purchasing a Short-Term Rental. Make sure to work with a professional who understands the unique tax implications of short-term rentals.

 Thank you Basit!

I recommend finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation. You may want to consider working with your accountant remotely to expand your options.

I would also recommend looking for a accountant willing to work with you throughout the year. You want an accountant who can help you strategize and who is responsive when you want to know the consequences of the financial decisions you are making throughout the year.

Good luck.

 Thank you Bill!
