how to house hunt?

hi I live in Englewood nj and when I go for a drive I always find houses whit board up windows and complete empty and some I walk up to take a peak and some of them need a lot of TLC,

so how do I get in tuch whit the owners of these homes or to find out if the bank took them over if someone could give me a good advice that will be great ill get started tomorrow!

Walter your 1st step should be to look up the tax records at www.njactb.org. There you will find who the tax bill is being sent to. 9 times outta 10 it is the owner or someone who has legal control of the property. From there you would have to go to the Bergen County Recorder's office to see what if any liens are actually against the property. We buy in Bergen County so feel free to PM me your info so we can talk more. I'd be interested in purchasing anything you come up with as long the numbers make sense. Even if you can only get some of the info I Could track down any owner you're looking for. Thanks.
