So I posted an intro a while ago, and think I have a plan, but having a rocky start. I'm out of the military in a couple of months, and got an intent to lend letter for around 160k. Lokking in 78745, find a lot in my range, but as soon as they list, they go PB or AC almost the same day. I'm not trying to get in bidding wars, so I started looking in other areas that "should" grow.

The house I get, i'm hoping for a slow flip, like 3-5 years. Getting two other roomates to help seeing as how my military check will be stopping in September. Now my end goal; I want to put my fingers in everything I can. I intend to get my RE lic, and appraisers lic. Also want to build a credit line to get cash-flow props seeing as how rent has gone insane over the past 2 years here. I just moved out of the Domain, when I moved in to my 1 bdr, $918 a mo, moving out it now goes for $1230. Might start with wholesaling, just not sure on it. Thinking about also trying to start up a staging company, but not sure how that market stands in austin, still need to research. I also want to try my hand at short-term flips, but need to build cash and investors.

I know I have a lot to learn, also I might be a tad over ambitious, but I want to make a career of this. My question might have got a little convoluted in my ramblings, but I was seeking advice on area, and finding the right first investment/residence. Thanks!
