Starting Out in West Michigan

Nikhil Jain
Posted

Hello everyone,

My name is Nikhil, and I am a new real estate investor currently focusing on the West Michigan market. I am particularly interested in purchasing my first investment property as a short-term rental (STR).

After analyzing recent data from AirDNA, I have identified several promising areas: Douglas, Saugatuck, Fennville, and I am also exploring opportunities around Stevensville and New Buffalo.

I understand that regulations around STRs vary widely, and I've taken the time to study city maps to identify areas where they are still permitted. I would greatly appreciate your insights and experiences regarding these locations, particularly Stevensville. I'm currently eyeing a turnkey property in that area that looks very promising.

If you have any advice on market dynamics, rental potential, or even just the community vibe in these areas, I would love to hear from you. Your input will really help me make an informed decision as I move forward.

Looking forward to connecting with you all and learning from your experiences!
