Gaining knowledge when first starting out
Hello, my name is Cameron and I am very new to real estate. I do not have the adequate funds to begin investing just yet, but I do have the ability to learn as much as possible. Does anyone have advice or tips for me on what the best way for me to build my REI knowledge would be so that when I do have the adequate funds, I am already equipped with a very good base knowledge. Thank you!

Real Estate Investors can play ahead of the game by learning about 1) Real Estate (of course), but not the basic stuff....all the tricks that can make you stay one step ahead of your competition. and 2) Construction - How a house is built and how to fix, remodel and add value.
So for #1, you can just make this forum an addiction. Spend some time every day here reading the posts, and ask questions of your own....the more the merrier. You can also get a RE license (not that you need one, but just to gain knowledge) or go work at a RE office as a clerk or Gofer.
#2 - Start going to events like those at Home Depot on Saturdays, where they show you how to tile, or other basic trade tasks. volunteer to help friends, volunteer for a Habitat For Humanity project. Go to work on a Construction site as the guy who cleans up at the end of the day and sweeps the floors
Just learn everything you can about everything related to RE. You will be miles ahead of the normal investor...
