Starting Out / Wholesaling
Hey Everyone! I am a 20 year old college student from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I have been doing lots of research on real estate investing this year, reading many books, watching videos, listening to podcasts, and scouring bigger pockets for information. I plan on house hacking when I have the chance and then growing my real estate portfolio as much as possible as time goes on. Right now I am looking at starting out by getting into wholesaling because knowing the ins and outs of finding deals will set me up for a successful real estate investing career and I feel like it's a good actionable step I can take while I’m still in college. I already feel like I have a good base of knowledge but I'm still a little confused on the legal side of the business and there is definitely more that I need to learn. I know that every state can have their own laws and regulations. Also do you need a real estate license to wholesale in South Dakota? I’ve looked it up online and found mixed results. I would love to connect and help out anyone local as I’m trying to learn as much as I can!

Hi Soren and welcome to BP! You should reach out to @Gunnar Barbee as he can give you a lot of good wholesaling advice. A lot of us started out where you are at right now. Take the time to learn and start gradually. This is a great place to get started.
