Hi! Im new to real estate investing, I have 7 years of experience building from new homes to commercial builds. I currently still work as a superintendent but my wife and I both dream of owning our own real estate and obtaining financial freedom that way. We currently have around 175K in equity in our house we are willing to access some of it utilizing a HELOC but we want to get connected with investors that can help us walk through this!

Hi @Landon Lehmann

Happy to hear it! We have 1 rental via house hack from 2021 and its been a great rental the last few years. Using a HELOC is a great idea as it is essentially a cash purchase. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks on here!

Let me know if I can help in anyway

If you are ever wanting to build your own short-term rental, feel free to reach out. I build unique places all around the U.S., and I'm sure with your experience it wont be that hard for you.

Thanks Preston! The house we own is one I built in Celina and it's just growing in value amazingly! We would love to turn it into a rental one of these days as well! Have you done any deals in the DFW area using the BRRRR method?

@Landon Lehmann

I bet!

Personally no. I don't have that kind of cash to do a BRRRR. I have an investor from Cali who just finished up with "Rent" portion of the BRRRR. Now they are waiting for the appraisal so they can complete the "Refinance" part of the process

Start by setting your goals, like wanting quick cash or money over time, and picking the kind of property you want. Learn from books, chats, courses, and meeting people. Use your home equity line of credit to talk to a money guide and find someone with experience to help you. Key actions include studying the market, checking out properties, forming a team, getting the money ready, and beginning with something small. Make sure to check everything carefully and use tech to keep track of what you spend. Meet other investors by joining groups, online forums, and using social media. Keep learning, meet people who know a lot about investing, and don't be afraid to take well-thought-out chances.

Good luck!
