Looking for ways to gain experience

New to BP, but have been looking into trying to house hack while I grow the capital for it (student/work) . Have done tons of research into taking loans etc, but probably settling on getting 20% DP and 6 months worth of monthly costs (maintenance/mortgage/utilities).

Started looking to my state laws and saw I need 3 years experience to even get a MN broker license and was wondering how I should go about that.

Does that mean I have to sell houses or is there a way to become an employee under an existing property manager?

You have to maintain a license and work under a Broker for a certain amount of time. Then you can take the Broker class, upgrade to a Broker license, and break out on your own (or continue working under another Broker).

Property management is an underestimated opportunity. You make a good, steady salary without all the ups-and-downs sales agents experience. You learn about managing rentals well, something most investors never learn. And you'll quickly learn which investments make the best returns or require the least amount of work.
