Looking for useful in person real estate groups in New York City area

Hi there, 

I'm just getting started and looking to learn more. Does anyone know of useful meet-ups or events in New York City? I'm not necessarily looking to invest in this area (probably upstate), but looking to meet people in the area I can learn from/build a like-minded community to keep me motivated. I've taken a look on meet-up but seems like there is a lot of fluff there...any leads on useful groups?
