Partnership splits and past experience - Good and Bad please

Olivia G.
Posted

Hi!

I am working on a few partnerships right now and would like to hear from others who have done this. We are working on a 50/50 split where me and my team will do all of the work while the investor provides the funding (either cash or financing). I have heard of a few different ways to do this including the waterfall method where the investor receives 75% until their investment is returned and then move into 50/50.

Please share various partnership models and what has been positive and negative, things to watch out for, avoid, put in place, etc.

Thanks!
