REI in Houston Lets Connect!

I want to build financial independence through real estate investing. I'm unsure what the right path is, but I've been reading & watching podcasts about investing in owner-occupied, single family properties. My strategy that I'm interested in is buy and hold. I've crunched the numbers and if I could purchase 5 SFH (newly constructed homes) in the next five years, that would give me the financial independence foundation I'm looking for.

I finally have my why and plan of action on my REI journey. I would love to connect with like minded individuals who've invested in rental properties and started off with a buy and hold strategy. Please share your experiences and advice BP family. It would be much appreciated!!
