Starting out in Wholesaling-Traverse City, MI area

Hi everyone,

I'm freshly into the wholesaling game in the Traverse City, MI area. I've been doing a lot of reading and listening lately and it seems that one thing all the "experts" can agree on is finding successful wholesalers locally and learning as much as i can from them. I fully intend and want to do this but it seems like the traditional channels of finding a REIA or something similar don't return any results. I'm wondering if anyone has some ideas as to where I can find some folks in my area to learn from/work with?

Perhaps join your local real estate investor group on Facebook. Also you can join the Michigan real estate investor group on Facebook as well. Start attending meet ups and maybe even introduce yourself on there. It could help strengthen your network and make contacts with people that could help.
