1st Rental (Long Term), Worth Getting a Lawyer Involved?

Bo Fender
Posted

Turning my primary into a rental after buying a new home. Conflicted on whether I should sit down with a lawyer to draft a lease, or if Zillow's basic lease is sufficient? Was also going to look into transferring my rentals lease onto a LLC, but if they were to call the loan due that would sort of hardcore suck.

Zillow's leases are legit. You can also google NC Standard Residential Lease and will find very similar options. Turbo tenant is another option but they charge for their standard leases. Not sure about loan LLC situation but if your investment properties are with you LLC then you can use that to count as income. Hope this helps!
