what are your top 2 books to learn the basis on Real estate asset protection

Hi everyone, I finally decided to jump into this real estate adventure.

Would anyone have some advice and book recommendation on Real Estate Asset Protection? to understand the basis of land trust, LLC, LP, how they all work together as well as recommended business structure if you are planing on protecting your asset and build a portfolio of 2 unit per year? is there a asset protection for Dummies ?
I have the impression that most place are mainly trying to upsell their course or bring you in their business where they will then make all the money on you, by selling you a lot of thing you don t need or are very complicated.

Any advice and tip are welcome.

100000 Thanks

Anthony

@Anthony Dupre

Mark Kohler's Lawyers are Liars is very good. The Title is tongue and cheek since he is an attorney and CPA. The LLC is just another layer of protection, but not the end all.

We have threads just about everyday about LLC's. Generally, its not needed when starting, and has its disadvantages. Like you said, there is a huge sell for LLC's and trusts. But, many investors on BP have posted owning 10,20, and even over50 RESIDENTIAL properties in their personal name. But, ultimately, its up to you as to what you feel comfortable.

Hope this helps.  Happy to chat. Good luck.
