Just Starting Out

Hello All, I am curious about real estate investing and where to start. For context I  am 23M and I would like to know what is the best way to go about it. I have been doing research and many people said family homes are the best investment to start out with. I just wanted to ask if that would be the best way to go about it?  Should I start house hacking and if so what are some of the pros and cons ? Lastly what should I be aware of ?

To learn more about SFH rentals look at youtube content from Jason Hartman/Empowered Investor

To learn more about more general principles of real estate investing and multi-family look at Ken McElroy's youtube content

The bigger pockets youtube channels are outstanding, we prefer "On the Market" from Dave Meyer for data and analytics.

The best content on youtube for vacation rentals is from Rob Built.

My favorite book on landlording is "Landlording on Autopilot" - this transformed the way I handle our SFH rentals.
