Needing resources for my short term rental business

Sarah Mylcraine
Posted

I just started my first business - a short-term rental company (Happy Havens Hospitality, LLC) to turn properties into AirBnB's. I am looking for a lawyer and CPA/Accountant. Since I am a first-time business owner, I want to make sure I get set up correctly legally, make smart financial decisions, and have access to the resources that I need. I currently have one property (a home I own) on AirBnB and looking to add more properties to my portfolio (via rental arbitrage or partnerships with investors). My current AirBnB was set up over the summer, so I have a lot of purchases that I have tracked on Google Sheets. Looking for someone familiar with STR's who can help me with taxes. Would also like an attorney to go over some paperwork that I have for my business such as a landlord letter, promissory note, LLC operating agreement, and revenue share agreement (they are all already made, would just like eyes on them). I am in Taylor, Texas (east of Austin) if that's helpful. Bonus points if you can recommend a bank that might be good for this type of business. I am currently looking into A+ Federal Credit Union.

🙂

Thank you in advance!
