Where To Begin
Hi Everyone,
A close friend and I have decided we want to start our journey into real estate investment. We are both 27 years old and each purchased our first homes this year. He in inner city Chicago and I in the suburbs of St. Louis, found the process quite stressful but enjoyable. We figured since we found this enjoyable, how could we make this experience profitable? Our current thought is to begin with a small single-family rental, gain some knowledge, and hopefully, one day enter into commercial development. We continue to talk, strategize, and plan but inevitably end up on the same question; where do we start? I know this is a loaded question with infinite answers, but is there a podcast episode, articles, books, etc. that you would recommend?
I am new to the Bigger Pockets universe and look forward to seeing people's feedback.
Thanks,
Glenn Meyers

Hi @Glenn Meyers - Congrats on hopping into the forums and putting yourself out there. Also congrats on your first house at 27, that is amazing!!
Sounds like you and your friend are totally on the right path...I'd say just keep doing what you are doing: Educating/Learning, Networking, and taking action.
Are you considering investing in Chicago or St. Louis? I am biased but love Chicago...if I can help please let me know.
