Advise on my FIRST Apartment Purchase

I am currently looking into buying an apartment.

I have since rounded down my list of potential buys, based on my pre-approved documents  and on the area.

The one thing I have noticed, is that there seems to be a lot of people looking to sell where I am looking to buy.

Does this seller motivation signal something bad, the against the area?

The Agent(selling) simply says the owner of the apartment has reached his target and now wants to exit. The owner is liquidating up to 8 (Eight) apartments  in the complex (where I am looking to buy). This is also happening in another unrelated property close to the area.

In your Experience:

Is the area simply losing value or is there some other reason for the sudden uptrend in vacant apartments?

Should this change my resolve to purchase at this time?

Your inputs would be highly appreciated.
