How do I go about completing my first wholesale deal, in Mobile, AL?

I am a newbie investor. I have been reading and absorbing all the information I can for the last year. I recently lost my job, so I see this as the perfect time to get started in my investment business. I also would like to know is it a good idea to get my realtors license and work as a realtor while getting my business started? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
