What was your first real estate investment? What could you have done better?

Hi everyone! My name is Autumn, and I am a Financial Consultant. I plan to buy my first multifamily property within 1-2 years through an FHA loan. Before I buy, I plan to spend my time learning as much as I can to be successful. I cannot wait to participate in this community!

I'd love to hear what you learned (and I'm sure others starting out would as well)! What was your first real estate investment? What could you have done better?

Thank you!

@Autumn Churchill

Right away.

I was fearful of losing the tenant and spending the money to rehab so soon after purchase. Looking back I lost out on thousands in profits and delayed equity growth which I could have used to buy the next property sooner.
