Don't know where to start

I have worked in the legal field relating for real estate for over 20 years. Working with tax sale foreclosure, mortgage foreclosure, and everything in between. My positions created a conflict of interest so I couldn't do any investing. I have now transitioned to another position so the conflict no longer exist. I have so much knowledge but don't know where to start. I know how to find people online, research property owner information, perform title searches, etc. I think I should have a mentor but not sure who to trust. I figured out a niche but not sure where to go from here. Any feedback would be appreciated.
