New Investor in SWFL - how to find deals and contractors

Daaman Yagnik
Posted

Hi All,

i'm new to the biggerpockets forums but i have been listening to the Podcasts for a while now.  I'm new to Real Estate Investing and to the SWFL market as well.  I have been able to find some deals but struggle with finding contractors to fix the properties.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to source contractors?  And any other ways to source deals outside of Wholesalers?

Daaman

You are going to have to kiss some frogs in order to find your prince. Contractors come and go, they do good for a few jobs and then fall off... It is difficult to build a team/network of good, reasonably priced contractors -especially when you are small. You are going to have to start calling to see who is willing to work with you and then you are going to have to try them out to see if they meet the requirements. If you have a network of investors then they will be a great source of contractors that have worked out for them. I constantly share my sources with investors that I know and work with.
