Working under a broker

Good evening BP community. I don’t know if this is the right forum for my questions.
1. This is a 2 part question…after completing your real estate classes and you find a sponsoring broker are you able to buy your own investment properties or does it depend on the broker you’re under? Or do you have to wait until it’s time for you to move on and branch out for yourself?
