New Kid On The Block
Hello Everyone!
My name is Wesley and I am a new-ish real estate investor. I say "-ish" because although I know a good bit about real estate and some strategies, I haven't actually purchased any property yet. I'm 24, just graduated college in May and just recently started with my post-grad career. I was hoping to introduce myself and hopefully find a mentor/friend who can show me the ropes to investing and help a young cat on his journey. You can find me on Linkedin at Osamawen Wesley Iyahen, feel free to reach out even if it's just to be polite! Thanks and God bless.

@Osamawen Iyahen, your first investment/acquisition should ideally be a house hack. Read, "The House Hacking Strategy" by Craig Curelop. In the meantime, I'll mention the same advice that I've been preaching for years; secure W2 employment, save religiously, build your credit, limit unnecessary debt, pay off any debt you owe, practice analyzing deals (house hacks), & attend local REI meet-ups to connect with others. I prefer Atlanta Real Estate Investing Meetup. To be upfront, you don't necessarily need a mentor. BiggerPockets, YouTube, and local meet-ups will have all of the information you'll need when starting. Don't pay for a course unless it's very niche specific. "Set For Life" by Scott Trench is also a good read. Hope this helps!
