First time landlord
We are getting ready to rent our first home. We initially wanted to use a realtor to help us find a tenant, help with background checks and draw up lease contract etc. The realtors collect 70/30 of first month’s rent in fees. 70% to our realtor, 30% to their realtor. That’s one month’s rent going to realtor. Which is fine if it’s worth it? My question is is it worth using a realtor or should we try and rent ourselves? That’s my question. We are property managing ourselves by the way!
The area we live in is a renter’s marker right now. We could post free on Zillow? If yes, what other resources help you draw up lease contracts, background checks etc etc.
Thanks for the help!
