Location Suggestions Near Edwards AFB

Hello everyone. I am new to all this so I am still learning. I will be moving to work at Edwards AFB and am considering buying a house within 1 hour of the base. The issue is that I have no idea where the desirable areas to live in are. The goal would be to move out of the property within 2 years and make it a rental. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
