Hey! New CA Agent here! Is it normal for brokers to make you sign a ABA form?

Hi guys! I'm just trying to do open houses to get my name out there and network and my brokerage has me send out an Additional Broker Agreement form with my signature to the listing agent if their outside of out office as protection I guess. Is this normal for all brokerages when doing open houses outside of your brokerage? It seems to steer away a lot of potential open houses for me.
