New to BP and Real Estate Investing

Good evening, from Detroit.

I am just getting started into real estate investing.  Working on figuring which is the first stepping stone to step on besides reading books and listening to podcasts, then doing the research; which has been started.  I do want to get some tangible rudimentary tasks out of the way, namely on the side of structuring the business (legally, financially, etc.).  Are there any investors in the Metro-Detroit area that would be wiling to sit down and have a conversation or maybe a little show and tell on how you make the magic work?

A little about myself.  I have been working in the automotive manufacturing industry for over 30 years. During this time I have worked on many aspects of this industry; engineering, project management, and senior management. I have even worked a little sales in there when the opportunity arrives.  At one time I had my real estate license and have been considering getting it reinstated for this venture.  I am looking to use the skills I have developed over the years to move out of the “rat race”.  I would love to network with some local folks to be able to mastermind and bounce ideas off of one another or support someone with some findings.

Look forward to talk with you!
