Feeling stupid lol

Posted

Going through my first eviction and I just need someone to “hold my hand”

it’s in the state of Georgia

so far .. we let tenant know. Tried to get them to pay or move by request.

No luck

paid court to send a sheriff to do tack and mail - she had 7 days

This is 8th day (Saturday so obviously courts closed)

What is my next step? What should I expect?
and yes drove by - tenant enjoying herself. 🙄

Quote from @Katie Williams:

If you have a clear understanding of the process and act in a professional manner, the Tenant is more likely to take you seriously. When you figure it out as you go, that shows in your behavior and your Tenant is more likely to stretch it out.

Even if you do everything right, many Tenants know they can stay put until the court hearing, sometimes even after the court hearing. They will play it out until the last minute and take advantage of the law. You just have to play the game.
