Basic question about US market practices
Hi BP!
I've just moved to the US from Europe and am trying to understand the process as I start to purchase rental property.
- As I find on and off market properties, is the common practice to engage a buyers agent (which I am very happy to do) to represent me ?
- Is this still true if it is direct to seller?
- Do I then just send them the listings or can I get basic information from the listing agent myself (rents, condition etc)?
Thanks for replying to such a basic question, in France you just contact the agents or sellers, buyers represnetation is not common.
Just moved to the Bay Area so keen for any meet ups as well!

Hey Alex,
Yes is ok as a buyer with no representation to contact the seller agent and I am pretty sure that any buyer agent will be more than glad to help you with any property information you need.
If you are in the Bay Area you should contact David Greene's team and definitely they will be able to help you with anything you need.
