Reintroducing! New Year, new me!

Hi everyone!

Newbie investor in the Jacksonville, Fl market. Finally working to get this thing started! Been reading forums, listening to a ton of podcasts from a bunch of different investors (BiggerPockets podcast being one of my favorites!). Finally time to get started though.

Looking to begin with wholesaling first, as I have little capital to begin with. My short term goal is to acquire a mailing list of owners (either paid for or researched through the county records' not sure which route to take). Then, I need to make yellow letters (again, unsure if I want to DIY or hire it out). Hopefully will get a deal out of my first group of mailings, but I know that May not be realistic and will follow up on entire list.

My mid term goal being to begin building a rental portfolio to create passive income. No idea how many doors I want or need, haven't thought that far out yet.

Long term, I want to be able to travel and see the world again. Was in the Navy and saw some pretty amazing sights around the world. Having the ability for both my girlfriend (proposing soon!) and myself to not have to work will be the most amazing thing in the world (with the exception of our two beautiful children, of course!)

I would like to. Find someone that has the. Time for a sit down chat and help to point me into e right direction for this future. I am not sure what value I can add, but I am willing to help out in any way! (I am an electrician by trade, maybe that would help?)
