It depends on whether you will leverage it.

Getting a license may help you save money on commissions, but it takes money, it takes time, and at the end of the day you'll have a complete novice (yourself) representing you instead of a pro. I recommend you find a good, professional agent that understands investing. They know the market, contract law, negotiations, provide a second set of eyes, are objective, can negotiate better than you can, etc. 

I only recommend a license if you intend to put in the work and make use of it.
