Office self storage facility
My main business has been renting storage space for about $200 per month for years. And that's not much space at all. It's the typical drive up with a metal door/mice/burned out light bulb facility. I was wondering if I purchased a commercial space and had it retrofitted with interior doors/alarm/sprinkler/locking rooms if there would be a market for office storage space. Of course my business would be my first customer since I have to pay someone for it anyways, and we currently need more space. It's annoying to say the least. Anyone have success starting out in the storage business this way? Seems nobody has enough storage space. Especially small businesses with limited facility space for secure, clean document storage. I would envision entrance through a main hallway to individually locked spaces with security, 24 your access...etc and built specifically for document/light storage rather than cars/boats..etc. Any feedback at all is appreciated.
