New to BP - looking to network and get into RE investing

Hello BP Community! 

I have recently joined this site after starting Brandon’s book and can already tell this looks like a resourceful and useful community. 

To provide a little background on myself, I am 25, born on Long Island but currently working as an investment banker in NYC. As stated I am very new to this and just looking to network with like minded people in the area (new or experienced investors, agents, lenders - I’ll talk to anyone!). 

Just trying to soak up all I can for now with the hope of buying an investment property over the next 6-12 months if market conditions improve a bit and I can find a deal.. primarily interested in long island due to proximity and family in the area with construction exp.
