College Student FHA Loan Funding

Sandro Guzman
Posted

Hi everyone,

I am currently a college student that brings in around 18k per year. I was wondering if I would qualify for an FHA loan and if so, would it be enough for a decent rental property investment? If the FHA loan is not an option for me does anyone recommend anything else?

@Sandro Guzman When qualifying for an FHA loan they will also consider that you are a student and look at your transcripts. What market are you planning to buy in? It might be beneficial to find a co-signer to help show more income to increase your purchase price.

Speaking with a loan officer will be a good place to start!
