Can you email people on the DNC list?
Hello Everyone,
I am brand new in trying to obtain off market deals. I have narrowed down my search criteria and found areas where I want to invest and just pulled my very first list. I have been skip tracing the information to obtain phone number to cold call. However I am finding a lot of the property owners are on the DNC list. Is it still okay to market to these homeowners through email? Or because of their status on the DNC all electronic communication is banned? I am just trying to do this the right way and do not want to run into trouble for sending some cold emails.
Thanks in advance,
Jayden

The Do-Not-Call rules do not apply to email. For email you have to follow the CAN-SPAM act. You can read about it here:
https://www.ftc.gov/business-g...
You are also welcome to send direct mail letters or cards, which are not regulated at all.
