Part-time Investing

I hear a lot of people out there saying "investing isn't a hobby". I hate to say "I don't have the time to invest" because I know there are people far busier than me who invest, and I know everyone gets 24 hours in a day. Right now my priorities have my family and full-time job ranking pretty high. Wondering if anyone out there (I'm in Phoenix, AZ -Ahwatukee) had any advice on starting out pretty slowly. I have the added advantage of also holding an active real estate license that I don't actually use for much that i could possibly put to good use. I'm just trying to brainstorm a little to get something going. Thanks in advance for any tips/suggestions.
