Help! Entrpreneurs-Buying health insurance

Posted

I am looking to go independent of my employer and trying to find health insurance for our family. Since we live between the US and Dominican Republic, it needs to be a policy that covers us. Cigna, Aetna and the big guys are quoting 3k. Is this the typical cost?

Has anyone found a good company that covers small business owners or independent entrpreneurs? Thanks in advance!

Kaiser Permanente if you are in a Kaiser state...no hassles...might cover you in DR....(???)

Unfortunately Texas is not a Kaiser State.

But in my opinion cost is not apples to apples with Kaiser, due to how comfortable they are to deal with (In California).

They are kind of their own thing, with all of the big hospitals and etc...

Good Luck!
